Arriving
by air
The airport is located at Glenegedale a 30 minute drive from Saddlers
Brae. Flights to and from Islay from Glasgow Airport are daily with
the exception of Sundays and take about 30 minutes. Enquiries regarding

The airport on the island is small but very welcoming. Car hire from

On
leaving the airport car park turn left onto the A846 and follow
the straight road north for approximately 6 miles to the main town
on the island Bowmore. The road will snake through the town and
continue along the lochside on your left to the village of Bridgend.
Once in
Bridgend look for a left turn signposted for Portnahaven. Take
this turning you are now on the A847. This road will wind down
the other
side of the loch for some 8 miles until you reach the village of
Port Charlotte. The road will narrow on entering the village to
cross a
bridge then you will see The Port Charlotte Hotel on your left.
Take the 3rd turning on your left after the hotel. This turning
is just
before the bus shelter and goes down the hill towards the lochside.
Saddlers Brae is the last house on your right.
