Summary
Saddlers Brae consists of a living/dining room and kitchen with washing machine/tumble dryer and dishwasher on the ground floor. The house has a bright entrance porch leading into the reception hall which is ideal for storing shoes and boots. The staircase leads to the 2 bedrooms both of which have excellent storage space and the bathroom. Heating is provided in the form of oil filled electric radiators. With the exception of the bathroom all rooms have views over Loch Indaal to the eastern peninsula of Islay and beyond to Jura.


Living/Dining Room
The main room in the house has a natural stone fireplace and polished stone hearth as the central feature. A spacious and bright room enhanced by a large picture window plus two smaller gable windows. The floor is sanded. The sofas and armchair provide seating for six people. One of the sofas can be converted into a double bed. A pine dining table with seating for 8 people occupies a position under the main window in the room. There is a Colour TV and DVD player with selection of DVD’s as well as a CD player/Radio. There are also a selection of books and board games for general use.



Kitchen
This room has south-east and south-west facing windows making it one of the brightest rooms in the house. It has been completely refurbished so that all elements are integrated with the exception of the freestanding fridge freezer. The worktops are finished in beech and encompass a deep Belfast sink. Other features include a washing machine/tumble dryer, a dishwasher, electric hob and oven as well as a microwave.


Double Bedroom
This room has a large south-east facing window with commanding elevated views over Loch Indaal. The room consists of a double bed with bedside chests of drawers as well as a large chest of drawers and sanded floor. There are large built in wardrobes which provide excellent storage space in this room together with a travel cot if this is required. Bedding is provided and a hairdryer is also available.

Bunk Room
Like the kitchen below, this room has a south-east and south-west facing window. The room itself consists of bunk beds with a rest easy framed mattress underneath which can be pulled out in order to sleep 3 people. There is a built in wardrobe as well as a chest of drawers and the floor is sanded. Bedding is provided.



Bathroom
At the end of the upstairs hall is the bathroom. This has a bath, electric shower, toilet and wash hand basin. The floor is tiled and there is a heated towel rail. Towels are provided.

Garden
There is a small enclosed garden where a bench provides an attractive area to sit out. The firewood is stacked here and a BBQ is provided for use. There is also a whirly gig for drying clothes.

Other Features
Smoke detectors are located in the upstairs and downstairs halls.

Fire Extinguishers are located in both the kitchen and downstairs hall.

A fireguard is located in the living room for the open hearth fire.
A payphone is located in the kitchen.

Highchair provided.

Parking should be directly in front of the house at the edge of the grassed area. Take care not to block the through road.
