from Saddlers Brae, Islay, Scotland
Recently refurbished to a high standard this 2-storey house is
located in the picturesque award winning village of Port Charlotte
on the beautiful Island of Islay.
Saddlers Brae sits in a delightful position on the shore side resulting
in spectacular views over Loch Indaal from every window. It’s
location offers visitors the ideal base from which to explore the
island. Whether you are visiting Islay to enjoy it’s world
famous distilleries, unique wildlife, spectacular scenery or just
peace and quiet there is something for everyone in this beautiful
part of the world.
The house has a lounge/dining area with open hearth fire and a
bright airy kitchen on the lower level. Upstairs comprises of a
large double bedroom, a bunk room and bathroom all with panoramic
views.
Port Charlotte itself has a store and petrol station as well as
two popular eating establishments the Croft Kitchen and highly
rated Port Charlotte Hotel which has a first class restaurant and
public bar. Both of these are a few minutes walk from Saddlers
Brae. The Wildlife Information Centre is also located in Port Charlotte
which offers visitors an insight into the wildlife they may see
around the Island throughout the year.
A wider selection of shops and services are available in Bowmore
(12 miles). In terms of distance the ferry terminals are at Port
Askaig (16 miles), Port Ellen (20 miles) and the island’s
airport (16 miles).
